Privacy and cookies
Last updated: 14 October 2026 (draft)
This notice explains how Victor Abidoye, trading as Wrkmatic (“Wrkmatic”, “we”) uses personal data when you visit go.wrkmatic.com, answer our questions and ask us to call you. It is written for UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
Who we are
Victor Abidoye, trading as Wrkmatic is the controller of your personal data. Address: Pleer House, Fennel Street, Manchester M4 3DU. Contact:victor@wrkmatic.com.
What we collect
- What you tell us in the form: how many people are on commission, how commission is worked out today, which CRM you use, your industry, your first name, UK mobile number, work email and company name (optional) and whether you want text reminders.
- Our calls with you: notes Victor makes when he calls you, and the consultation time you agree.
- Where you came from: the campaign tags in the link you clicked (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content, utm_term), Meta’s click ID (fbclid) and which of our pages you landed on. These travel in the page links from the ad to the form and are sent with your form. We don’t store them on your device.
- Ad measurement, only if you accept advertising cookies: your IP address and browser user agent, Meta’s cookies (_fbp and _fbc), an event ID, and your email, phone number and name in hashed (scrambled) form so Meta can match the event to an account.
- Security: your IP address is used briefly, in memory, to stop abuse of the form. It is not stored with your enquiry.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
| Purpose | Lawful basis |
|---|---|
| Calling you back as you asked, arranging your consultation, preparing for it and following up about it (including the quote after the call) | Legitimate interests: responding to an enquiry you made. You can object at any time. |
| Text reminders about your consultation | Consent: only if you tick “Text me reminders about my consultation”. Reply STOP or email us to withdraw. |
| Recording which ad or link brought you here, so we know which campaigns work | Legitimate interests: understanding and improving our marketing. |
| Measuring our Meta (Facebook and Instagram) ads: the Meta pixel and Meta’s Conversions API | Consent: only if you click Accept on the cookie banner. |
| Keeping the form secure and preventing abuse | Legitimate interests: protecting our service. |
We don’t sell your data, and we don’t make decisions about you by automated means. Giving us your details is optional, but we need your first name and mobile number to call you, and your email to send the consultation details.
Who we share it with
We use these providers. Each one only gets what it needs for its job.
- GoHighLevel (HighLevel, Inc., USA): our CRM, calendar, and email and text sending (processor).
- Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd and Meta Platforms, Inc.: ad measurement, only with your consent. For collecting and sending pixel data, Meta and Wrkmatic are joint controllers; Meta’s own use is covered byMeta’s privacy policy.
- Vercel, Inc. (USA): hosts this website and runs the form (processor).
- Google (Google Meet and Google Calendar): the video call and calendar invite for your consultation (processor).
These providers may use their own sub-processors under contract.
International transfers
Some providers above process data in the USA. Where a provider is certified under the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (the “UK-US data bridge”), we rely on that. Otherwise we rely on the ICO’s International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, with extra safeguards where needed. Ask us for a copy of the relevant safeguards.
How long we keep it
- Enquiry and booking details: while we arrange and follow up on your consultation, then up to[Victor: confirm, e.g. 24 months] after our last contact if you don’t become a customer. If you do, our customer agreement takes over.
- Text-reminder consent records: as long as we hold your contact details, so we can show you agreed.
- Your cookie choice: 6 months, then we ask again.
- Website logs: short-lived hosting logs that never contain what you typed into the form.
Cookies and similar storage
Until you make a choice on the cookie banner, we store nothing on your device. After that, we store your choice. The Meta cookies in the table below are stored only if you click Accept. You can change your mind at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of this page; if you withdraw consent we delete the Meta cookies.
So the thank-you page can greet you, your first name and mobile go from the form to that page in the page address after the “#” sign. That part of an address never leaves your browser, and the page removes it straight away.
| Name | Type | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| wm_consent | Strictly necessary cookie | Remembers your cookie choice | 6 months |
| _fbp | Advertising cookie (Meta), consent only | Lets Meta recognise the browser to measure our ads | 90 days |
| _fbc | Advertising cookie (Meta), consent only | Stores the Meta click ID from the ad you clicked | 90 days |
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, restrict or object to how we use it (including an absolute right to object to direct marketing), and ask for it in a portable format. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Email victor@wrkmatic.com. We reply within one month.
